La Hora del Planeta es una iniciativa dirigida a concientizar sobre el calentamiento global. La idea es que el \u00faltimo s\u00e1bado de marzo de cada a\u00f1o la ciudadan\u00eda haga un apag\u00f3n voluntario de luces y aparatos el\u00e9ctricos. La Hora del Planeta fue concebida inicialmente por la WWF y el The Sydney Morning Herald, un peri\u00f3dico Australiano. El primero de estos eventos se llevo a cabo el 31 de marzo de 2007 en Sidney, entre las 7 y 30 y las 8 y 30 pm.
